Keeping up with Ethereum Improvement Proposals (EIPs) is crucial for developers, researchers, and community members. However, tracking proposal progress, understanding dependencies, and finding relevant discussions can be challenging.
You already know of our following tools and their workings, if you don't check:
- EIPsInsight: Your Go-To Tool for Navigating Ethereum Proposals
- ‘Search by Author’ Feature
- The EIP Proposal Builder
- Analytics Tool on EIPsInsight
And many more features that you can find at eipsinsight.com
Over the past two months, EIPsInsight has introduced several new features to make this process easier. Here’s what’s new and why it matters.
1. EIP Board Updates (Labels & Filters)
What it does:
Tracking EIPs just became much more efficient with new labels and filters that allow you to sort proposals based on different criteria.
Why it matters:
- Saves time for researchers and developers looking for specific EIPs.
- Helps contributors find proposals that need review or discussion.
- Organizes information better, making EIP tracking smoother.

2. Reviewers Tracking (Beyond Editors)
What it does:
Previously, you could only track editors (the people officially handling EIP submissions). Now, you can also see who is reviewing proposals and their feedback.
Why it matters:
- Increases transparency—know who is involved in reviewing an EIP.
- Helps EIP authors track progress and engage with the right people.
- Useful for community members who want to follow discussions closely.
Visit the Reviewers LeaderBoard Tool Today.
You can also check our recent tweets as we mention the reviewers leaderboard based on a certain month.
To access the recent or monthly reviewers leaderboard, scroll down to the "View More" button. This will reveal the options "Select Year" and "Select Month", allowing you to navigate to the monthly leaderboard or contribution chart.
3. Pectra Slot Countdown & Relationship Chart
What it does:
- The slot countdown provides real-time tracking of Ethereum’s next major upgrade, Pectra.
- The relationship chart visually maps out dependencies between different proposals, helping you understand their impact.
Network Upgrades and EIPs Relationship Graph:
Why it matters:
- Useful for researchers tracking Ethereum’s evolution.
- Helps developers see which proposals might impact their work.
- Keeps Ethereum enthusiasts informed about upcoming changes.
4. Analytics Page Update
Previously, the analytics page displayed only the total numbers for created, merged, closed, and open contributions. To see individual contributions for EIPs, ERCs, and RIPs, users had to manually filter between "All", "EIP", "ERC" and "RIP". Now, as shown in the image, these breakdowns are visible directly alongside the total counts, making it easier to analyze specific contributions.
View in GitHub (Floating Icon)
What it does:
A cute little floating GitHub icon is now available on every EIP page, allowing you to instantly access the open-source code behind any proposal.
Why it matters:
- Saves time for developers who want to review or contribute to EIP-related code.
- No need to manually search GitHub, it’s all just one click away.
Whether you’re an Ethereum developer, researcher or just someone curious about the ecosystem, these updates help you:
- Save time by accessing information faster.
- Stay updated on Ethereum’s progress effortlessly.
- Engage better with the EIP process.
