As part of this transition, Hsiao-Wei is handing over her previous responsibilities as Consensus R&D team lead. Barnabé Monnot and Alex Stokes will now co-lead the EF Research team, while Justin Traglia steps in as the new lead maintainer of the Consensus Specifications. The transition process is underway, ensuring a smooth handover of both internal and public-facing duties.
In her announcement, Hsiao-Wei extended heartfelt gratitude to the Ethereum community, highlighting the support and trust of Vitalik Buterin and Aya Miyaguchi. She also conveyed her appreciation to the EF Research team, affectionately stating, “I love you 4844 times.”
