UNDP Establishes the Blockchain Advisory Group

The Blockchain Advisory Group was introduced by UNDP as a strategic endeavour to link blockchain knowledge with development priorities. 26 organisations representing various sectors of the blockchain business, including foundations, media outlets, advocacy groups, and infrastructure providers, make up the recently established association.

The advisory group's goal, according to UNDP, is to assist in finding ways that blockchain technology may promote innovation in the public sector and sustainable development. The organisation hopes to gain a better understanding of how decentralised technology can be used ethically and successfully by utilising the combined expertise of its members.

The announcement happened at Proof of Talk 2026 in Paris, one of the industry's biggest events centred on policy talks and blockchain innovation.
