Vitalik responded a PoW proponent

In response to a tweet, Vitalik stated that PoW and PoS do not include any sort of vote on protocol parameters, a claim that frequently goes unchallenged. He continued by saying that nodes easily reject invalid blocks in both PoS and PoW. He further added: "Also, small grammar nuance: in English when talking about things like proof of stake, we don't say "it's a security", we say "it's secure". I know these suffixes are hard though, so I forgive the error."

Arbitrum introduces Arbitrum Nova

With a strong security guarantee, Arbitrum has introduced Arbitrum Nova - a new chain built on AnyTrust technology that is optimized for exceptionally low-cost transactions. Developers can now begin building on the mainnet before it is made accessible to end-users.

Blackfridge releases a new stablecoin backed by the pound

Pound Token, the first stablecoin in Britain that is fully backed 1:1 by pounds sterling (GBP), has been launched by Blackfridge. Poundtoken, with the ticker "GBPT", enables frictionless settlements and direct GBPT access to digital asset markets. Nicholas Maybin, COO of pound token, said:

“Following the boom in decentralized finance, stablecoins have become an integral part of the crypto sector, Many are aware that the crypto market can be unpredictable, so when trading a stablecoin it’s vital to know that you will always be able to take out what you put in. In addition to robust regulation, we’re excited to have KPMG auditing pound token in this new exciting time to crypto and hope to bring further reassurance to those involved in the space.”

Pound Token stablecoin will be launched on Ethereum. Poundtoken gives users constant access to their assets and enables them to transact across borders in GBPT almost instantly, and without any delays or expensive fees.

Myria is partnering with AB de Villiers

Myria is an ecosystem powered by Myria's Ethereum L2 scaling solution. Myria has announced their partnership with AB de Villiers in June. It will be the first mobile cricket game with celebrity backing to use play-and-earn blockchain features like NFTs. AB de Villiers' vision is to develop a fun, entertaining mobile cricket game that captures the excitement of playing the game on the field.

Myria has recently organized a Q&A session with AB De Villiers and the community where they shared their plans for their mobile cricket game. Myria tweeted a few names for the game and told their community to decide on a name for the game. To which AB de Villiers responded: "Can’t wait to see the results! Let’s get the show on the road guys."

GameStop’s NFT Marketplace is Live now

After being in development since last year, GameStop's NFT marketplace is finally operational. The marketplace is a "non-custodial, Ethereum Layer 2-based marketplace," according to the company's statement which was released on Monday. In particular, the marketplace is built on Loopring.

According to a statement released by the company on Monday, the platform makes it possible for gamers, creators, collectors, and other community members to buy, sell, and trade NFTs. Users can link their various cryptocurrency wallets, including GameStop Wallet, to the platform.

On the platform, there are already 236 NFT collections and 53,300 NFTs listed. Although GameStop currently only supports NFTs minted on its own platform, it offers collections that are available on other online marketplaces like OpenSea.

GameStop has launched open beta access to its NFT marketplace with initial support for digital art collectibles. GameStop intended to launch the marketplace before the end of July.

OKX introduced OKX Lite

The lite version of the OKX platform has been released. Users will be able to use this to instantly buy, sell, trade, and send or receive cryptocurrency. On this platform, users can also observe market activity and participate in staking to earn extra.
