The French court-ordered liquidation of Unagi, the studio behind Persona Journey, Ultimate Champions, and Records, has put its NFT and gaming projects at risk. In April, the company stopped making payments for its Persona Journey collection, which formerly yielded 1,842 ETH, or around $5 million.

A court-appointed liquidator is currently supervising the offer of its intellectual property, NFT holdings, gaming products, AI technologies, and token-related assets to prospective buyers.

Unagi Liquidation Puts Persona Journey Assets Up for Sale

On September 23, 2026, a liquidator was appointed to supervise Unagi's asset sale. Persona Journey's intellectual property, artwork, manga, collection smart contracts, and creator rights are all included in the liquidation. Along with the X and Discord communities for the project, it also contains a treasure of 957 Persona NFTs.

The sale includes Persona Journey's AI products, such as Hana, Imagine, and its Giphy pipeline. The assets that can be purchased also include the UNA token and the contracts that support it.

Persona Journey's anime-inspired artwork and plans to branch out into manga and video games garnered notice. Longtime investors view the liquidation as a challenging time for a project that has developed a reputation for its characters, creative works, and digital valuables.

Unagi, the company behind Persona Journey, Ultimate Champions and Records, has entered court-ordered liquidation in France.

All of the company's assets are now for sale, under the supervision of the court-appointed liquidator.

What is being sold:

1. Persona Journey. The intellectual property, artwork and manga, the collection smart contracts and creator rights, a treasury of 957 Persona NFTs, the X and Discord communities, and the AI products: Hana, Imagine and the Giphy pipeline.

2. UNA. The token and its contracts.

3. Ultimate Champions. The fantasy football and basketball game, with its card economy.

4. The white-label fantasy platform, whose reference deployment was Coach Ligue 1, built for the French football league.

5. Fantasy Brainz. A prediction game, fully built, never released.

6. Records. The AI platform for user-generated content, launched in March 2026 with Pudgy Penguins, Doodles, Moonbirds and Claynosaurz.

A complete data room exists in English and French, with a product overview, a deep dive and technical documentation for each asset, plus the underlying contracts.

Ultimate Champions & Fantasy Sports Technology Included

Additionally, Unagi sells Ultimate Champions, a card-based fantasy basketball and football game. The game is a distinct component of the portfolio that potential purchasers can access.

Coach Ligue 1, a product designed for the French football league, served as the model for the company's white-label fantasy sports platform. Along with the other assets being offered through the liquidation process, the platform could be purchased separately.

Fantasy Brainz, a fully built but never launched prediction game, is also included in the transaction. Its inclusion provides prospective customers with access to a finished product that was previously unavailable to the general public.

These gaming assets represent a different part of Unagi's business from Persona Journey's NFTs and creative intellectual property. Buyers can assess the individual products rather than having to acquire the entire portfolio together.

Records AI Platform & Other Products on Offer

The liquidation also covers Records, Unagi's AI platform for user-generated material. With Pudgy Penguins, Doodles, Moonbirds, and Claynosaurus, the platform debuted in March 2026.

The AI products associated with Persona Journey and the technological infrastructure supporting the various projects are included in the transaction in addition to the records. Each asset's product summary, more in-depth technical specifics, underlying contracts, and other pertinent information are covered in the published documentation.

For those who are interested, Unagi has set up a data room in both French and English. A confidentiality agreement must be signed in order to access this information, which enables potential buyers to examine the assets before making an offer.

The assets can be purchased separately, giving interested companies and individuals the option to focus on specific intellectual property, games, AI products or token-related components instead of taking over the full collection.

November 2 Deadline for Unagi Liquidation Offers

Before entering the confidential data room, interested purchasers must register their interest via the form provided by Spike and connected to Persona Journey. Prospective purchasers can see the paperwork and evaluate the assets they want to buy after signing the necessary confidentiality agreement.

November 2, 2026 is the deadline for offers. The court-appointed liquidator is overseeing the process after Unagi's liquidation in France.

Fantasy Brainz and Records, the Coach Ligue 1 reference platform, 957 NFTs, UNA, Ultimate Champions, Persona Journey collection and its intellectual rights, and related AI products and infrastructure are all included in the chance. Interested parties may submit proposals for the particular aspects of Unagi's business that align with their objectives, as the assets are offered for separate acquisition.
