0xbow Raises $3.5M Seed Round to Bring Compliant Privacy to Ethereum

The latest funding round marks a major milestone for 0xbow as it scales Privacy Pools, a protocol designed to deliver privacy by default on Ethereum while preserving compliance through zero knowledge proofs & real time screening.

Seed Round Overview

0xbow announced a $3.5 million seed round led by Starbloom Capital with participation from Coinbase Ventures, Boost VC, Status Research and Development GmbH, Plutos Capital, and notable angel investors including Balaji Srinivasan, Sam Kazemian from Frax, and Dan Finlay from MetaMask.

The round validates 0xbow’s approach to solving one of Ethereum’s longest standing challenges by enabling user privacy without compromising compliance or financial integrity.

How Privacy Pools Works

Privacy Pools is a self custodial protocol that enables users to maintain onchain privacy while proving that their funds are legitimate. Powered by zero knowledge proofs and 0xbow’s Associated Set Provider (ASP) layer, the system screens deposits & monitors transaction behavior in real time.

Since its mainnet launch in March 2025, the protocol has processed more than $6 million in transactions across 1500 plus users, supporting ETH, wstETH, wBTC, DAI, USDC, USDT, and frxUSD.

Ecosystem Momentum & Integration

Momentum accelerated as Vitalik Buterin demoed the Kohaku wallet SDK at the Cyberpunk Congress in Argentina, showcasing native Privacy Pools integration. This positions privacy as a default feature for browser based wallets.

With growing adoption and improved developer tooling, 0xbow aims to establish compliant privacy infrastructure as a foundational layer for Ethereum applications spanning DeFi, consumer apps, and enterprise workflows.

0xbow’s seed round marks the beginning of a new phase for onchain privacy. As Privacy Pools continues to expand, the company is positioned to deliver privacy that works for users, regulators, and developers. Builders seeking to integrate compliant privacy can reach out through X or the contact form on 0xbow.io.
