Amazon, an American e-commerce and cloud computing company is already into blockchain space. Amazon's cloud computing arm has introduced AWS Blockchain Templates last month. To make it easier for customers to use blockchain, they are now in a new partnership with a blockchain startup - Kaleido, incubated by ConsenSys.

AWS Blockchain Templates allows to launch an Ethereum (either public or private) or Hyperledger Fabric (private) network in a matter of minutes and with just a few clicks. The templates create and configure all of the AWS resources needed to get going in a robust and scalable fashion. Amazon Web Services (AWS) is a subsidiary of Amazon that offers a paid subscription for cloud computing platforms to individuals, companies and governments.

"Introducing Kaleido to AWS customers is going to help customers move faster and not worry about managing blockchain themselves," Amazon Web Services says.

Kaleido - the blockchain business cloud, is Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) featuring popular Ethereum packages Geth and Quorum offered in association with AWS and is accessible across multiple AWS Regions around the world. It includes linking between private networks and the public Ethereum mainnet, integrated analytics, and support for multiple protocol options and consensus mechanisms providing clients the ability to seamlessly connect to other popular AWS services.

Steve Cerveny, Kaleido Founder said,

"If blockchain doesn't become dramatically easier to use, then companies will have to walk back their investments and our society will be far too slow in realizing blockchain's significant promise. We designed the Kaleido platform from scratch with new user experiences and tools to radically simplify the entire enterprise journey. This all-in-one Blockchain Business Cloud changes the economic equation of an enterprise blockchain project. By offering a full solution way beyond do-it-yourself scripts or templates, Kaleido significantly speeds up development and deployment cycles and dramatically lowers operating costs. What Salesforce did for CRMs, Kaleido will do for blockchain."

"You can launch @Kaleido_io on @awscloud right now. It is finally easy for customers to deploy enterprise #blockchain products", tweeted Joseph Lubin, founder of ConsenSys.

Union Bank Philippines (@unionbankph) has also partenered with ConsenSys, and is leveraging @kaleido_io, to empower rural banks. Check out their new Project i2i.
