Dashboard Overview

As you enter EIPsInsight, the Dashboard offers a quick overview of Ethereum Improvement Proposals, organized by type:

Meta EIPs: These proposals handle the standards for the EIP process itself.
Core EIPs: Changes to the Ethereum protocol live here.
ERCs: Think of token standards and other application-level standards.
Networking, Interface, and Informational EIPs: Cover updates to network protocols, client APIs, and general ecosystem info.
RIPs: Resource Improvement Proposals, serving resources other than the core Ethereum blockchain.
On the right side, a Status Pie Chart gives you an at-a-glance view of the proposal progress—whether Draft, Review, Final, and so on. This visual summary helps you quickly assess where each type of EIP stands.

GitHub PR Analytics

Curious about how EIP activity has evolved? GitHub PR Analytics tracks all GitHub Pull Requests (PRs) and issues for EIPs, RIPs, and ERCs on a monthly basis since 2015. It’s color-coded and organized by Created, Closed, Merged, and Open PRs, with a trend line to show changes over time.

If you’re interested in exploring specific periods, you can scroll through the timeline or select specific months using the "View More" option. Plus, you can customize the chart by toggling on or off each category (Created, Closed, Merged, Open) to see only what’s most relevant to you. Need to save this data? Just hit the download button to export the report.

Editors Leaderboard

The Editors Leaderboard highlights EIP editors’ review activity, showing the number of reviews completed by each editor each month. This feature lets you see who’s actively contributing to the review process, making it a valuable tool for tracking editor involvement and contributions over time.

Want to check reviews for a specific month or editor? Use the timeline scroll bar or dropdown menus to select the month, and the table will automatically update. You can also filter the chart to focus on individual editors by selecting them from a checklist.

Editors Board

If you’re an EIP editor or involved in the review process, the EIP Board will help you prioritize open PRs that have been waiting for the longest. This feature organizes PRs by the duration they’ve been pending since the last editor interaction, ensuring that the oldest requests are easy to spot and address.

This tool is especially helpful for editors looking to reduce review backlog. The longest-waiting PRs can also be discussed in EIP Editing Office Hours and EIPIP Meetings, ensuring that proposals requiring multiple reviewers get the attention they need.

EIPs Insight

The EIPs Insight section is a monthly summary of EIP status changes, from new drafts to final updates. Each number in the table reflects how many EIPs have changed status within a month—whether they’re Draft, Last Call, Final, or otherwise.

For a deeper dive, you can click on any number to see a more detailed view of that data. The accompanying graphs provide a breakdown of each status by category (Core, ERC, etc.), making it easy to track which types of proposals are progressing through each stage.
