ETHPlanet workshop & hackathon 2020 concluded with announcement of winners

‘Building the next Digital World Hackathon 2020’ concluded  with the list of winners on October 26. The workshop and the hackathon organized by ETHPlanet.org, was focused on projects determined at helping people in unprecedented time and beyond with the help of blockchain technology. Builders from across Asia and Europe participated in this unique opportunity to innovate and create solutions for real- life problems. The event went live with accepting submissions on September 30. The judges selected six finalists who presented their projects to the judges on October 20.

The event was judged by Joris Bontje and Fauve Altman (States of the DApps), Arpit Agarwal (DefiDallor), and mentored by Pooja Ranjan (Ethereum Cat Herders) who is also the founder of Etherworld.co. She also delivered a workshop explaining EIP to the participants. The hackathon was co- hosted by Kaiyuanshe, CSDN and CAC.

The winners and rewards

Intoo TV is  announced the Most Social Value project, VeryNet won the most potential and XPLOR won the best speculative design project. Along with it, five distinct projects have been chosen by the judges from the China division who made an extraordinary impression on them. These include The Spirit Comes,  Mouse and Ducks, F3, Bruno Latour Gallery and Liu Chan’s decentralized music platform.

The competition was neck- to- neck and everyone cannot be the winner. So the judges decided to give shout out to  three incredible projects-  SAMAJ, Upala, and I- Sight from the hackathon who displayed exceptional innovative ideas and  gave a tough fight to the others.

The participants were promised to receive prizes worth $20,000 and more. Each winning team will receive 1 ETH, two dedicated desks at Tech Discovery Space for 6 months, a chance to speak at COSCon 2020 along with media coverage. For all the teams who contributed their project will get CAC annual VIP membership.
